| We are open for dinner only, Tuesday through Saturday. Chef Dave himself will usually answer the phone to help you with your request, often right up until the time he starts cooking for our first guests. You may call him at 610-526-0123. If, however, you prefer to make an online reservation any time day or night, using Open Table, then click on the link below to do so. Please note - you cannot use Open Table to obtain a reservation for 5 or more guests. Those parties must call Chef Dave. Please read the FAQ's below for additional information regarding reservations. | Do you accept reservations? We not only accept, but encourage reservations. They help us to staff the restaurant properly and ensure that we are able to provide our guests with the best possible service. Do you seat walk-ins? Yes, based on our availability. Generally, we are more likely to be able to accommodate walk-ins during the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday). There is less of a chance that we will have room for walk-ins on the weekend (Friday, Saturday). Do you have “seatings”? We do not have seatings per se. We take a certain number of reservations at each time. When one time slot is full, it is closed out. Am I able to reserve a specific table in the restaurant? During the week we are able to reserve specific tables… for example; the table in the window or a corner table. This is done on a first request basis. Due to the size of our restaurant and our need to seat the room based on the evening’s reservations, we are not able to guarantee a specific table on the weekends. Do you take reservations for large parties? During the week (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday), we are able to take reservations for parties up to 14 guests. On weekends (Friday, Saturday) we are able to accommodate parties up to 8 guests. On weekends we do require a credit card to hold a reservation of 6 or more. What is your cancelation policy? We request 24 hours notice for all cancelations. We would like to insure that those who want to dine with us are able to. When reservations are canceled in the last minute it prevents us from rebooking that table and hurts the restaurant and our servers who make their living by working at Sola. Why do you require a credit card for a party of 6 or more on the weekend? We are a very small restaurant with 16 tables and the ability to seat about 48 guests at one time. A party of 6 or more represents a substantial piece of our dinning room. In the past we’ve had problems with large parties canceling last minute or not showing up at all. We now require a credit card to hold the reservation and we require a 24 hour notice of cancelation. If we do not receive a 24 hour notice of cancelation, there will be a $25.00 per person charge. We regret the need for this policy. Will we ever be asked to leave our table? As a general rule of thumb, on weekends we schedule our reservations so that a party of 2 or 4 will have a designated 2 hours on their table. For instance, if you have a reservation at 6:30, there will not be another reservation taken on that same table until 8:30. For parties of 6 or more, we allow 2 ½ hours on the table. We feel that this is the proper amount of time for our guests to comfortably enjoy their stay with us. We do request that guests arrive promptly for their reservations. This helps to insure that we are able to provide them with excellent and unrushed service. If you feel that is not enough time to enjoy your meal, we ask that you either take a later reservation such as 8:00 or 8:30 when there won’t be another table scheduled after you or join us during the week when we are less likely to have later reservations. |
