Open For Valentine's Day
We will be open for dinner service on Valentine’s Day, Sunday February 14, 2010. The number one question we get on a day like Valentine’s Day or New Year’s Eve is, “are you serving your regular menu or a prix fixe?” We always serve our regular menu along with some very nice special additions. We do this because over the four years we have been open our guests have told us that they like to have choices.
Many restaurants see these holidays as an opportunity to make extra money by forcing their dinners into an expensive multi-course menu. It seems like in the days following these holidays I always hear stories from folks who have eaten at restaurants that only serve a prix fixe menu. They are invariably unhappy with the selection or the portion size for the price. Most guests think the prix fixe option just is not worth it for a holiday. That’s why we have never done it at Sola and most likely never will. |
